Introduction

Welcome to the Global Benchmarking Tool, a platform for gathering information to help organizations better understand how their internal audit function compares to those of their peers worldwide. The success of the benchmarking tool depends on your contribution, and therefore we kindly request your participation.

The questions within the tool focus on key benchmarks for internal audit leadership, such as:
  • Staffing
  • Reporting lines
  • Budget and revenue
  • Performance metrics

Here is some important information to consider before you begin:
  • Anticipate spending approximately 20 minutes to fill out the fields in the tool.
  • Once you begin, you will not have the opportunity to pause and resume at a later date. Please plan to complete the form in one continuous session.
  • To avoid duplicate entries, please ensure that only one response is submitted per organization. Ideally, the form should be completed by the most senior internal audit leader within the organization.
  • When answering questions related to valuation, please respond using the primary currency used by the organization.

Ensuring the protection of your privacy is important to us. The IIA collects and processes data from website users in accordance with its privacy policy. Personally identifiable information will not be gathered in association with organization data. If you choose to share your contact information at the conclusion of the tool, this information (name, e-mail address, and the like) will not be linked to the organization data in any way. Since the information you provide is anonymous, once responses are recorded, the entered data cannot be removed. All non-personal data collected may be shared with our partners and affiliates.
